"The Gift"

To know you Lord…

To know You is my heart’s desire.

“My soul yearns for you in the night;” so I walk with you, I talk with you. To know you is my heart’s desire.

And I ask…

“If you were here in the body, how would you handle the situations that are on my heart? What would you do? If I could see you, then I could know.”

And You reply…

“Listen to the Holy Spirit. Do whatever He tells you to do; because whatever He tells you to do, is what I would do. And when you do it, you will know Me.”

—“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”

"Proclamation"

Thank you John and Meghan

“The Lord said to me, “Do not be afraid of him, for I have delivered him into your hands, along with his whole army and his land. Do to him what you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon.”

At that time I commanded Joshua: “You have seen with your own eyes all that the Lord your God has done to these two kings. The Lord will do the same to all the kingdoms over there where you are going. Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

“Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you.”

"The Persistent"

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’

“For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’ ”

And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” —The Parable of the Persistent Widow

"The Magnificent Teacher"

Thank you Eli

“Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say.

When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil?

When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cumin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, barley in its plot, and spelt in its field?

His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.

Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is the wheel of a cart rolled over cumin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cumin with a stick. Grain must be ground to make bread; so one does not go on threshing it forever. The wheels of a threshing cart may be rolled over it, but one does not use horses to grind grain.

All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.”

"Every Man"

“There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

“The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

“But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony.

And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

“He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

“Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

“ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

“He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.” —The Rich Man and Lazarus

"The Rescuer"

Thank you Steven

I felt myself sliding into a pit. And darkness was surrounding me.

I was losing my sight as my sense of direction was spinning.

My heart was troubled, but I put my trust in you.

As I was grasping to keep myself above ground, I put my trust in you.

As I searched for a way out, I put my trust in you.

And like an eagle you swooped down and you rescued me. You strengthened my heart and brought me understanding, Lord you rescued me. You made my footing firm, Lord you rescued me...I put my trust in you.

"The Fall"

Thank you Frederikson

You say, “Go left.” I say, “Go right…”

 —I go right.

You say, “Do this.” I say, “Do that…”

 —I do that.

You say, “Go here.” I say, “Go there…”

—I go there.

And I fall.

But You catch me.

You say, “Stay.” I say, “Leave…”

—I leave.

You say, “Wait.” I say, “Go...”

—I go.

You say, “Don’t.” I say, “Do...”

—I do.

And I fall.

But You catch me.

You say, “Be still.” I say, “Keep moving…”

—I keep moving.

You say, “Be content.” I say, “Have more…”

—I have more.

You say, “Follow me.” I say, “I’ll lead…”

—I lead.

And I fall…

I fall. I fall.

And You say…nothing.

—“People ruin their lives by their own foolishness and then are angry at the Lord.”
